Our Little Discoverers room cares for 9 children and is our next step from our baby room. Little Discoverers room focus on the developmental changes in babies between the age of 18 months and two years and supports the children into their further transition to our 2-3 year old room.
Our Little Discoverers room offers an exciting, homely environment that supports curiosity and a little extra challenge. The children enjoy spending time in their cosy corner and have their own built-in home corner which supports little imaginations.
Our daily routine includes creative play, storytimes, singing, curiosity play and planned trips to our soft play area, garden and local outings. Our daily activities are planned to focus on the three prime areas of learning to provide opportunities for children to develop their Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Communication and Language and Physical Development.
The children also take part in a weekly Jo Jingle’s session with Victoria.
Our dedicated Little Discoverers room leader Joanne at our day care nursery has completed her Level 3 qualification in Children’s Care, Learning and Development and has 10 years experience of working with young children and 8 years of service with us here at Premier Lodge Day Nursery.
